Welcome to my new photography blog. Paper Lantern Photography is my little nook and outlet for creativity. Check in often to see what/who I’ve been meeting. I will always try to post a sneak peek from new sessions.

I’m a mom to highly energetic toddler twin boys. They are my inspiration for photography and the reason I strive to be a better photographer. Watching them play makes me want to save every single moment before they grow up. I want to document their bonding, fighting, and view on the world. Being with them helps me understand that it is important to capture these memories. It helps me to connect to my clients and strive to freeze those memories for them. Whether you are celebrating a milestone, expecting a new addition, or just out for some fun, I would like to be your lifestyle photographer.

My style of photography is a little unique from your typical studio. I tend to be more natural, fresh, and on-location. My editing style is simple and I don't process your photographs with the latest fad. My goal is to capture your lifestyle and create photographs that are timeless. You will walk away with original photos which you will treasure forever.

Enjoy browsing my blog and email me to set up a session!

Senior Rep 2011 | Lawrenceville GA Senior Photographer

I had the pleasure of meeting my first senior rep this week. Debbie is such a sweet young lady and so much fun to photograph! For our first session, we decided on an outdoors theme since everything just recently exploded with color!  We may try something more urban next time. You'll be seeing a lot more of her this summer! She will be handing out senior rep cards before the end of this school year. Hold on to those cards! The summer prior to your senior year is traditionally the time to take senior portraits. If you present Debbie's Senior Rep card at your session, you will receive 8 free wallets with your order and 10% off your entire order. Ask her about these cards the next time you see her! Also, all session booked between now through the end of June to occur by the end of June will receive an early bird discount of $10 off your session fee.

Twin Tuesday | Atlanta Twin Photographer

We've been out testing the pollen count! They love being outdoors and with how green and beautiful everything looks, how can we remain inside?

Our Boys | Lilburn GA Twin Photographer

As most of you know, we have toddler twin boys, Alexander and Christopher, AND they couldn't be more different! ;o) These images were captured this week on our trip to Hilton Head, SC. It captures their personalities so well!!! We really don't ever do "posed" images of our family. These lifestyle images are the ones that I will treasure forever.

They found sea foam and immediately had to touch it. Xandie (the one on the left) dove right in and Tophie already touched it and is looking a little annoyed (recurrent theme on this trip).

Xandie loves the foam! You can't get a smile like this by saying "cheese"! The other is still trying to get the foam and sand off of his fingers. LOL.

Xandie ran off to sit and play in the sand.

The D Man | Snellville Georgia Newborn Photographer

As one of our favorite urologist always says, "pee and poop must pass". Well this held true for this little man. No sooner did we put him on a brand new fresh blanket or take his diaper off, it came flowing! I had a blast meeting Mr. D today. He was such a good sleeper at 8 days old. Mom, I had a great time photographing you two. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Ten Fingers and Toes | Gainseville Newborn Photographer

Ahhhh... I love newborns. They are so cute and fresh! Meet miss A. She is the first born of our good friends. I went to school in FL with dad and we were the only two from our class to move to this area.

She is soooo cute! It makes me want a little girl. I can't wait to document her first year.

The contest has been extended! | Georgia Child Photographer

Re-read the post about the contest below. The dates have been changed due to all of the things that have happened this week. Wow! The things that could happen in a week:

1. We had to replace our nanny (the biggest headache!)
2. Finally getting over this cold that hit 3/4 of our family members.
3. Getting my email hacked! (sorry for all of the missed emails and lost emails) If you haven't heard from me please re-send all correspondence to christie@paperlanterngallery.com only and not any other email accounts.

But things to look for in the upcoming week:
1. an awesome newborn session!
2. a commercial shoot (ok. so I don't always share my commercial work since it doesn't necessarily pertain to babies, children, and families), but I do commercial work or sometimes I share it and pass it off as some cute little baby! ;o)
3.  Also if you know any high school juniors (class of 2011), tell them to contact me ASAP!!! I am going to start accepting applications for spokes models for the class of 2011 soon! I will be accepting up to two students from each school in Gwinnett County, parts of Dekalb, and Hall counties!

Also, my pricing will be changing in a few months, so book your sessions soon to lock in our current rates. Rates will be locked in once session fees are paid.

I try not to post without a photo: I love it when he smiles so much that I can't see his eyes!

The winner will receive a free session from PLP, free 8x10, and 20% off prints and products (a value of over $200).
